The available position is for a Part-Time Retail Sales Associate, with a competitive pay rate of $19.00 per hour. This role requires open availability, including weekend shifts, and offers the opportunity to engage in a variety of duties ranging from cashier tasks to freight handling. The Retail Sales Associate position is pivotal to maintaining the high standards of customer service CHEF'STORE is known for. Associates support the store's operational needs by working across multiple departments such as the meat/frozen section, produce/dairy, dry goods, and culinary equipment. This role is highly versatile, involving sales, stocking, customer courtesy, and occasionally supporting special store events like vendor fairs and inventory counts.

Responsibilities include efficiently managing point-of-sale operations, ensuring accurate product labeling and rotation, maintaining a clean and safe shopping environment, and assisting customers in finding the products they need. Job Requirements

Minimum 6-12 months of retail cashier and or stocking experience
Minimum one year of retail selling and or customer service experience preferred
Must possess desire and ability to deliver exceptional customer service
Must demonstrate good common sense and basic mathematical aptitude
Must be motivated and self-driven
Must be able to work a flexible hourly schedule including holidays and weekends
Must possess basic computer skills and cash handling experience
High school diploma or equivalent work experience required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Ensure all customers have an impeccable CHEF'STORE experience by developing and maximizing relationships with the store's customers
Utilize all tools and skills learned in the CHEF'STORE Way training and model the behavior in the store
Perform sales and cash functions in the POS efficiently and accurately
Ensure that each item's barcode is accurately reflected in the system and report any discrepancies
Perform cart-to-cart transfer of products at checkout including visual inspection
Perform duties as receipt checker verifying cart contents
Ensure continuing focus on increasing sales and managing shrinkage
Assist in receiving inventory shipments and stocking shelves
Ensure merchandise is properly labeled including blaster tagging and catch weight labels
Replenish sales floor daily by down-stocking freight and maintaining FIFO
Utilize computer programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and proprietary software
Ensure products are accessible, visually appealing, and available
Assist with price changes and store opening and closing duties
Participate in inventory and cycle counts
Ensure facility cleanliness and safety by following policies and notifying management of issues
Gather carts from parking areas and ensure they are clean and operable
Perform other duties as assigned by Store Management
