Job Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Able to remain upright on feet for sustained periods
- Ability to lift and exert up to 35 lbs occasionally, up to 10 lbs frequently
- Visual acuity to perform activities such as viewing computer terminal, reading, inspecting small parts and details
- Able to handle cash, checks, and credit card transactions accurately
- Availability to work part-time hours averaging 29 hours per week
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required
- Previous experience in a retail or customer service setting preferred
- Ability to provide excellent customer service and demonstrate compassion
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for cashier duties
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Willingness to support multiple store departments including pharmacy when needed
Job Duties
- Providing differentiated customer service by anticipating customer needs, demonstrating compassion and care in interactions, actively identifying and resolving service issues
- Giving a warm and friendly greeting, maintaining eye contact, offering help locating additional items
- Accurately performing cashier duties including handling cash, checks, and credit card transactions according to company policies
- Maintaining the sales floor by restocking shelves, checking in vendors, updating pricing, completing inventory management tasks as directed
- Supporting opening and closing store activities when needed
- Providing customer support to all departments including photo, beauty, ensuring departments are fully stocked and operational
- Assisting pharmacy personnel when needed, including working regular shifts in the pharmacy as part of career growth opportunities
- Embracing and advocating for new CVS services and loyalty programs
