This job opening is a leadership position responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and operations of the store, supervising two or more full-time employees in various roles including Assistant Managers, Lead Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives. The manager is tasked with recruiting, hiring, and training staff to deliver exemplary customer service while maintaining the store's cleanliness, organization, and inventory standards consistent with company policies. This role also involves scheduling employees effectively, enforcing safety regulations, and fostering a professional workplace culture. Responsibilities extend to developing positive relationships with suppliers and customers, promptly addressing complaints, and representing the company positively within the community. The manager is expected to conduct timely performance appraisals, provide ongoing employee development, and ensure compliance with safety procedures and cash handling protocols.

In addition to leadership and management duties, this position entails financial responsibilities such as analyzing sales data, managing budgets and forecasts, safeguarding cash flow, and identifying discrepancies in sales or inventory. The role demands strong communication skills for regular employee and management interactions and the ability to organize and maintain records and reports critical to store operations. Physically, employees must be prepared to work a minimum of 50 hours per week under varying temperature conditions and perform tasks including lifting, reaching, bending, pushing, and pulling. The environment is mostly indoors with some outdoor tasks related to store maintenance. Key certifications such as Food Server and Food Safety Management may be required.

Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years of retail work experience or equivalent combination of education, training and work experience preferred
  • Ability to supervise and train employees for the use of equipment, tools and materials listed in CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions
  • Ability to supervise and manage the functions listed in CSR, LSR and SA job descriptions
  • Ability to use computer or acquire necessary skills for report completion, inventory control and cash control
  • Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
  • Ability to have open availability
  • Ability to communicate orally and in writing in English
  • Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions
  • Ability to work under described environmental conditions
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle
  • Ability to sit for long periods
  • Food Server certificate and Food Safety Management certification may be required

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Directly supervise activities of 2 or more full-time employees including Assistant Managers, Lead Representatives, and Customer Service Representatives
  • Recruit, hire and train employees ensuring excellent customer service
  • Manage and assign tasks to maintain store cleanliness, stock, organization and company standards
  • Schedule employees to maximize customer service and maintain store image
  • Develop positive relationships with suppliers and resolve customer complaints professionally
  • Prepare performance appraisals and provide ongoing feedback
  • Train employees on safety procedures and cash awareness to reduce risk
  • Ensure completion of required employee training
  • Establish regular communication meetings with employees and District Manager
  • Develop and implement action plans to meet store objectives
  • Organize and maintain store files, manuals and reports
  • Manage merchandise stocking, display and pricing
  • Ensure employment-related posters and signs are accessible
  • Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize profits
  • Budget and forecast P&L lines and merchandise margins
  • Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed
  • Notify District Manager of any sales, cash, inventory or operating discrepancies
