Walmart is known for its commitment to providing affordable goods and services to customers across the globe while maintaining a focus on innovation and community support. The Shreveport Walmart Supercenter serves its community by offering a wide range of products, from groceries to electronics, and staffing a dedicated team to ensure efficient store operations every day.
The Stocking Associate role at Walmart Supercenter #3868 is an essential position within the store’s operations team. This part-time role offers an hourly wage ranging from $14 to $27 per hour, depending on experience and job location, with additional compensation through annual or quarterly performance incentives. Moreover, associates may earn premiums ranging from $0.35 to $3.00 per hour based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Available shifts include opening, morning, mid-shift, closing, and overnight, allowing for flexibility in work hours to suit different lifestyles and commitments.
As a Stocking Associate, the main focus is on unloading trucks and stocking new freight efficiently and safely. A significant portion of the role involves working in the backroom, organizing, and replenishing merchandise to ensure the sales floor maintains full shelves and meets customer demands. This position requires physical stamina, as associates will frequently lift heavy objects exceeding 50 pounds. The ability to operate heavy machinery, such as forklifts, is also a valuable skill for this role and may be necessary depending on specific duties and store needs.
Walmart is committed to supporting its employees with competitive pay, a wide range of benefits, and opportunities for growth. Associates receive health benefits, including medical, vision, and dental coverage, helping maintain well-being. Financial benefits include a 401(k) retirement plan, stock purchase options, and company-paid life insurance. Paid time off benefits cover parental leave, family care leave, bereavement, jury duty, and voting, promoting a balanced work-life experience.
Additionally, Walmart offers short-term and long-term disability insurance, company discounts, Military Leave Pay, adoption and surrogacy expense reimbursement, and many other benefits. Paid time off and personal paid time off (PTO/PPTO) can be used for vacation, sick leave, holidays, or other purposes, with amounts depending on job classification and length of employment.
Walmart also values education and personal development, providing the Live Better U program for both full-time and part-time associates. This program offers educational opportunities ranging from high school completion to bachelor’s degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates, fully paid by Walmart, including tuition, books, and fees. Eligibility requirements apply, and benefits are subject to change based on specific plan terms.
Safety is a top priority at Walmart. The company maintains a strict drug-free workplace policy with a zero-tolerance stance on illegal drug and alcohol use on the job. This policy helps create a safe and productive work environment for all employees, customers, and partners. Overall, Walmart Supercenter #3868 offers a dynamic work environment with competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities for career growth in one of the world’s leading retail companies.
