Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in stewarding or environmental services in a kitchen or restaurant style setting
  • high school diploma or GED preferred
  • ability to communicate both oral and written English required
  • must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • physically able to stand, reach, climb, stoop, bend, kneel, squat, lift up to 50 pounds
  • able to maintain stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure
  • able to comply with OSHA cleaning chemical regulations

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Believe and demonstrate through their work the GSR vision and mission statement
  • sanitation of stoves/ovens, grills, hoods, steam tables, dishwashing machines, walls, floors, etc. in kitchen, dining and restroom areas
  • inform supervisor if equipment is faulty or broken
  • use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
  • change oil in deep fryer and clean fryer
  • maintain inventory of supplies and keep equipment organized
  • operate and maintain dish machines, glass machines, floor scrubbers and burnishing machines
  • clean floors, mats and drains using mops, brooms, scrapers, scrubbers and chemicals
  • remove dirty dishes from cooks line and restock with clean dishes
  • maintain cleanliness of employee bathrooms by sweeping, mopping and scouring
