This position is key to ensuring that all kitchen environments meet rigorous health and safety regulations, including those set by the Department of Health, OSHA, and the Graton Gaming Commission. The Stewarding Supervisor is also responsible for supervising and training the stewarding team, overseeing inventory control, and ensuring that all dish rooms and related areas are organized and maintained efficiently. The supervisor’s proactive management helps support the overall hospitality experience by keeping kitchen operations running smoothly and safely.\n\nIn this role, the Stewarding Supervisor will monitor various culinary locations within the resort, such as the Marketplace Dish Room, Team Dining Room, 630 Park Steakhouse, Tony's of North Beach Italian Restaurant, and Casino Bars. They will assign tasks and priorities to kitchen workers, inspect the cleanliness and functionality of equipment, coordinate repairs, and ensure all machinery is well-maintained. Additionally, the role involves assisting with food safety compliance, managing inventories of chemicals, utensils, and supplies, and supporting administrative tasks alongside the Executive Steward or Assistant Executive Steward. The Stewarding Supervisor is instrumental in defining hospitality standards at Graton Resort & Casino while fostering a team-oriented environment and communicating effectively with all team members. Training and retraining initiatives are central to maintaining a knowledgeable and compliant staff, and the supervisor ensures that all banquet functions are properly set up and cleaned for seamless operations. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a stewarding or kitchen supervisory role
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations
  • Strong communication and leadership abilities
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Physical ability to perform duties in a kitchen environment
  • Proficiency in inventory management and basic administrative tasks

Job Qualifications

  • Experience supervising in a stewarding or hospitality environment
  • Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards including Department of Health and OSHA regulations
  • Strong leadership and communication skills

Job Duties

  • Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned work areas including Marketplace Dish Room, Team Dining Room, 630 Park Steakhouse, Tony's of North Beach Italian Restaurant and Casino Bars
  • Prepare and distribute assignments to the kitchen workers while reviewing priorities and ensuring health standards are met
  • Ensure kitchens and equipment are in good working order to maintain a clean and hazard-free work area in compliance with Department of Health, OSHA, Graton Gaming Commission and resort standards
  • Oversee maintenance of all machinery and equipment in stewarding department
  • Assist with food safety compliance
  • Assist Executive Steward/Assistant Executive Steward with administrative duties
