Job Requirements
- High school diploma
- Minimum three years experience as assistant chief steward in hotels with similar style and standards
- Strong knowledge of chemicals, dish machines, and kitchen safety
- Ability to communicate effectively in English
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations accurately
- Ability to prioritize and organize work
- Ability to work calmly under pressure and solve problems
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly

Job Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of the entire property including restaurants, bars, room service and banquet
- Ensure food is delivered to designated areas before function start times
- Fill equipment requisitions for banquet front of house staff
- Conduct training for stewarding supervisors and stewards
- Maintain knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment
- Conduct inventory of china, glass, silverware and chemicals
- Assist guests and employees with inquiries
- Abide by state sanitation and health regulations
- Meet with executive chef to review kitchen equipment needs
- Communicate effectively with management and service staff
- Create and update equipment pull sheets
- Ensure maximum productivity and accountability of staff
- Develop relationships with equipment vendors
- Maintain attention to detail and production knowledge
- Process and place all requisitions properly
- Assist other departments as needed
- Inspect cleanliness and condition of tools and equipment during opening duties
- Maintain and detail kitchen equipment
- Check production schedules and par levels
- Prioritize daily tasks
- Maintain proper storage procedures
- Minimize breakage of china and glass
- Ensure kitchen equipment is maintained and functional
- Assist in cleaning duties as required
- Ensure correct staffing and conduct interviews
- Create schedules for stewarding team
- Adapt duties based on business needs
