The role of Dishwasher at Peabody Hotels is pivotal to the seamless operation of food service areas, including restaurants, kitchens, cafeterias, and storage zones. The Dishwasher is responsible for washing and sanitizing restaurant and kitchen wares, assisting with cleaning pots, pans, and other utensils, and completing various special cleaning tasks as assigned. Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • operate dishwashing machine to wash designated restaurant and kitchen wares
  • clean and maintain dishwashing machine and related equipment
  • assist in washing pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils
  • monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned areas
  • use correct cleaning chemicals according to OSHA regulations
  • set up and organize workstation with designated supplies
  • check dishwashing machine operation and rectify deficiencies
  • fill dishwashing machine with specified chemicals and ensure temperature standards
  • remove excess food and debris before washing wares
  • position wares correctly in racks and operate machine only when full
  • remove and air dry washed wares
  • inspect cleanliness of wares and rewash if necessary
  • sort, stack, and store cleaned wares
  • change dishwashing machine water and filters
  • maintain cleanliness and working condition of garbage disposal
  • clean and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and other kitchen equipment
  • stock kitchen lines with cleaned wares
  • clean spills immediately
  • transport and clean mats and garbage containers
  • adhere to recycling regulations
  • report damage, maintenance issues or safety hazards
  • comply with Health Department and sanitation regulations
