Job Description

The current opening is for a full-time, non-management Evening Shift position in the Food and Beverage and Culinary category. With a competitive pay rate of $18.32 per hour, this role is essential in maintaining high standards of cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and storage areas. The key focus is on operating and maintaining cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot sinks, and trash compactors, while ensuring all kitchen utensils, knives, and equipment are sanitized properly.

This position involves receiving deliveries, properly storing perishable goods, and rotating stock to maintain freshness. Employees will be responsible for washing and disinfecting kitchen surfaces, tables, and tools, as well as ensuring that clean dishware is stored correctly in designated areas. Using chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse agents at a three-compartment sink is integral to maintaining sanitary conditions. The role requires inspecting, sorting, and stacking clean items for proper use while sending dirty items back for re-cleaning as needed.

Additional responsibilities include using hot water spray to loosen and remove food residues, classifying and soaking cutlery for cleaning, and systematically sorting dirty containers. Employees will manage waste by emptying trash bins, maintaining the trash disposal area, disposing of glass in appropriate containers, and breaking down cardboard and recyclables for proper recycling. This role demands adherence to company safety policies and procedures, reporting any accidents, injuries, or hazardous conditions, and completing safety training and certifications.

Physical requirements include the ability to move, lift, push, drag, or place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance, standing, sitting or walking for extended periods, and reaching above or below waist level, including crouching and twisting motions. Job Duties
