Job Requirements

  • No high school diploma or GED equivalent required
  • no prior related work experience necessary
  • ability to operate cleaning equipment
  • ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds
  • ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • ability to reach overhead and below knees including bending and twisting
  • willingness to follow all safety and security procedures
  • ability to communicate professionally and maintain positive work relationships

Job Duties

  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment including dish washing machine and trash compactor
  • wash and disinfect kitchen and store room areas, tables, tools, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries and properly store perishables
  • rotate stock
  • ensure clean wares are stored appropriately
  • use detergent and sanitizing chemicals to clean dishes in a 3-compartment sink
  • inspect and stack cleaned items, resend soiled items for re-washing
  • rack and spray items with hot water to remove food residue
  • sort and wash silverware
  • break down dirty bus tubs
  • empty and maintain trashcans and dumpster areas
  • clean and mop all areas in assigned departments
  • dispose of glass properly
  • break down cardboard boxes and place recyclables in recycle bins
  • follow company safety and security policies
  • report maintenance needs and unsafe conditions
  • complete safety training and certifications
  • protect company assets
  • communicate professionally
  • support team to reach common goals
  • adhere to quality standards
  • perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing or walking
  • perform other duties as assigned
