The role being offered is that of a stewarding supervisor, a critical leadership position within the resort’s food and beverage division. This role is responsible for overseeing all aspects of dishwashing operations, including the breakdown, feed, catches, and sorting of all dishes and flatware. The stewarding supervisor ensures that pots, pans, and kitchen utensils are washed, sorted, stored, and polished properly, maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and organization. Other key responsibilities include supervising the cleaning of walls, floors, ceilings, and other kitchen surfaces, complete transport of kitchen garbage to waste rooms, and managing the inventory of cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment like hollowware, silverware, and glassware.
A stewarding supervisor at this resort works closely with the Executive Chef, Director of Food and Beverage, and various room managers to coordinate efficient kitchen operations across multiple restaurant outlets. They are responsible for delegating tasks, conducting inspections to ensure workplace safety and cleanliness, managing employee attendance and disciplinary actions, and ensuring compliance with OSHA, health department, and safety regulations. The role requires bilingual communication in English and Spanish to effectively supervise a diverse team and carry out training programs related to health, safety, and chemical usage.
The stewarding supervisor will also be actively involved in maintaining and updating employee records, conducting inventory of food and beverage outlets, performing health and safety inspections, and training subordinate staff such as assistant executive stewards and supervisors. Job Requirements

Job Duties
- Oversee the breakdown, feed, catches, and sorts of all dishes and flatware as it is brought to the dish area
- Ensure wash, sort and store pots in their proper location on shelves
- Oversee wall washing, ceilings, baseboards, floor drains, hand sinks, tables and cutting boards
- Ensure floors are mopped and swept daily
- Ensure the transport of garbage from kitchen areas to trash room is completed
- Oversee the polishing of silver, glass and brass in areas as needed
- Delegate tasks to department and ensure job requirements are completed correctly and in a timely manner
