This role offers an exciting opportunity to become a Dishwashing Professional within the culinary operations team. The position focuses primarily on maintaining cleanliness, safety, and sanitary conditions across all kitchenware and equipment. As a Dishwashing Professional, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing plateware, silverware, glassware, pots, pans, utensils, and equipment to ensure that all items used in the kitchens and dining areas meet the hygiene standards required. This position involves both routine and hands-on tasks that demand attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, proper handling of chemicals, and following machine operating instructions. The role requires physical strength and stamina, such as carrying or lifting items weighing up to 75 pounds and continuous movement throughout the kitchen.
Your work area must always be maintained in an organized and clean manner, ready to support the efficient flow of kitchen service. Operating dishwashing machinery according to manufacturer specifications and keeping an eye on chemical levels and temperatures play a critical part in ensuring the quality and safety of the cleaning processes. In addition to the core dishwashing duties, you will be involved in cleaning designated kitchen equipment, including hoods, filters, steam tables, ovens, grills, refrigerators, and freezer units. You may also be tasked with managing waste in compliance with recycling regulations, safely disposing of kitchen substances like grease and chemicals, and maintaining overall cleanliness in the kitchen and surrounding areas.
This role operates under a structured shift schedule, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays, depending on the operational needs of the establishment. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Prior dishwashing or kitchen sanitation experience preferred
- Ability to follow safety guidelines and chemical handling procedures
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to work flexible shifts including nights, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Clean and sanitize plateware, silverware, glassware, pots and pans, utensils and equipment, keep work area tidy and ready for service
- Perform hands-on work in the kitchen with attention to safety, proper chemical handling and following machine instructions
- Set up work station including filling dish machine, checking chemical levels, presoaking and gathering equipment
- Replenish supplies as needed, rinse and scrape dishes, operate dishwashing machine per manufacturer specifications
- Place clean dishes in assigned storage locations
- Clean kitchen equipment such as hoods, filters, steam tables, ovens, grills, sinks, refrigerators, freezers, walls and floors
- Dispose of kitchen substances and chemicals properly
- Check working condition of equipment and machinery, report hazardous situations
- Empty trash cans, transport garbage containers to dump sites, adhere to recycling regulations
- Sweep and mop kitchen floor at end of meal periods and after spills
- Monitor chemicals and water temperature, clean and organize work area and kitchen equipment
- Promote teamwork and coordination with departments including Catering, Banquets, Outlets, and Maintenance
- Assist with other duties as assigned
- Stand and move about kitchen
- Handle objects, products, chemicals, cleaning supplies and utensils
