Currently, Ithaka Hospitality Partners is seeking a Steward Supervisor to join its culinary operations team at Elevation Convening Center & Hotel. This role is vital to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, organization, and efficiency that underscore every guest’s experience behind the scenes. The Steward Supervisor plays a key leadership role within the stewarding department by overseeing daily operations, including the maintenance of kitchen work areas, equipment, utensils, and the employee dining room.
This hands-on supervisory position ensures that sanitation and health protocols are rigorously upheld, supporting a clean and organized back-of-house environment that enables seamless culinary operations. The Steward Supervisor manages utility stewards and dishwashers, schedules staff according to business volume, trains team members, and is responsible for the efficient disposal of waste while carefully monitoring expenses related to cleaning chemicals and supplies. Additionally, this role requires excellent communication and leadership skills, a willingness to take action in problem-solving scenarios, and proficiency with software tools such as the Microsoft Office Suite.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous stewarding supervisory experience preferred
- HACCP trained preferred
- Must have valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR record
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to walk, stand, and sit for prolonged periods
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous stewarding supervisory experience preferred
- HACCP trained preferred
- Valid driver’s license and satisfactory MVR record
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage people in all situations
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
Job Duties
- Responsible for establishing and maintaining high sanitation standards in all food preparation areas
- Responsible for the maintenance and cleanliness of all F&B service and kitchen equipment
- Service ware in order to provide cooks, bus persons, and food servers with appropriate equipment for the guest dining experience
- Responsible for achieving financial goals by minimizing costs without compromising the cleanliness condition of the kitchen
- Responsible for implementing the policies and procedures in operating the stewarding department
- Responsible for ensuring sufficient operating equipment and cleaning supplies for the operation, including the employee dining room
- Ensuring the stewarding department is covered with staff during operation
