Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • prior experience in a dishwashing or similar hospitality role preferred
  • ability to work flexible scheduled shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends
  • physical ability to perform repetitive tasks requiring bending, stooping, squatting, and stretching
  • willingness to comply with all food safety, chemical safety, and hotel policies
  • ability to work in a moderately noisy kitchen environment without distraction
  • commitment to attendance and reliability standards

  • Ability to understand the mission, vision, and goals of the hotel
  • effective communication skills
  • ability to prioritize and work efficiently with limited supervision
  • detail-oriented and able to multi-task efficiently
  • able to speak, understand, and communicate in the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • ability to bend, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • ability to push and pull carts and equipment weighing up to 250 lbs regularly
  • knowledge of safety requirements including proper use of PPE and cleaning chemicals

Job Duties

  • Set up and organize the dishwashing area
  • operate all equipment assigned safely
  • clean and sanitize all china, glassware, silverware, flatware, pots, and pans in the hotel
  • take inventories of china, silverware, and glassware
  • ensure restaurant and banquet kitchens are properly stocked to open their shifts
  • maintain proper sanitation and cleanliness of all kitchens and food preparation areas including ovens, grills, stoves, hoods, fryers, preparation slicers, steam kettles, tables, and floors
  • follow all food safety and cleanliness standards while performing job duties
