Job Requirements
- No formal education required
- No prior experience necessary
- Ability to see small objects at arm’s length and read meters and controls
- Ability to bend, squat, crouch, crawl and reach above head
- Ability to lift, push, pull and carry up to 50 lbs consistently
- Ability to travel approximately 300 feet and stand regularly during shifts
- Capacity to understand and communicate clearly
- Capability to maintain a clean, safe and sanitary work area
- Willingness to perform physical tasks in varied temperature conditions including freezer environments

- Ability to handle fragile dishware with care
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Previous experience is not required but can be a plus
Job Duties
- Gather all dirty dishware from tubs brought to the dish room, rinse and stack in dishracks, always clearing dishes of leftovers and trash in order to prepare for automated washing
- Load full dishracks on belt and ensure correct placement in accordance with instructions for machine operation
- Operate automatic dish washing machine using controls as instructed
- Load dishwashing solutions into automatic dispensers and regulate detergent and chemical output by adjusting controls
- Unload clean dishes from racks, inspect for cleanliness, and stack in specified carts and shelves for kitchen and restaurant use
- Manually scrub pots, pans and kitchen equipment that cannot be washed automatically using detergents and scourers, then dry and store appropriately
- Manually polish silver, stainless steel and pewter items to present clean and attractive equipment
- Maintain automatic dishwashing equipment in good condition by following manufacturer instructions and health compliance regulations
- Keep the dish room clean and orderly by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, wiping counters and organizing shelves
- Mop kitchen floors as requested and clean kitchen work surfaces including walls, ceilings, hoods and vents as scheduled
- Gather and empty kitchen trash cans into outside compactor
- Sweep loading dock and kitchen entrance areas clearing litter for safety
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
