The role offered is a full-time, non-management position within the Food and Beverage and Culinary category, located onsite at the Philadelphia JW Marriott hotel. This position involves operating and maintaining kitchen cleaning equipment such as dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot-washing stations, and waste compactors. The successful candidate will be responsible for thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing kitchen areas, storage rooms, tables, utensils, knives, and equipment. Duties include receiving deliveries, properly storing perishable products, rotating inventory, and ensuring that clean dishes are stored correctly. The role requires using chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinse agents appropriately in a three-compartment sink for dishwashing.

Other responsibilities include inspecting and organizing clean items, returning dirty items for re-washing, soaking and washing silverware, classifying containers, emptying trash bins, maintaining garbage disposal areas, and properly disposing of recyclable materials. Compliance with company safety policies and procedures is mandatory, including reporting accidents, hazards, and participating in safety training and certifications. Physical demands include moving, lifting, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds, standing or walking for extended periods, bending, twisting, and other reasonable duties assigned by supervisors.
