The Dishwasher position at Gaylord Hotels is a full-time, non-management role offering hourly pay ranging from $18.50 to $19.82. The role preferably involves an overnight shift schedule, providing an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced culinary environment during those hours. In this essential role, the dishwasher will operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools, including dishwashers, hand-washing stations, pot-washing areas, and trash compactors. Responsibilities also include washing, sanitizing kitchen and storage areas, utensils, knives, and other equipment to uphold the highest cleanliness and sanitation standards. The dishwasher will handle deliveries, properly store perishable products while rotating stock to ensure freshness, and organize clean dishware in designated storage locations.
This position involves the use of chemical detergents, sanitizers, and rinse agents in a three-compartment sink system to effectively clean dishware. The dishwasher will inspect, stack, and rewash items as needed, and carefully process all kitchenware to ensure food residues are completely removed. Tasks also include sorting, soaking, and re-washing silverware, emptying trash receptacles, maintaining the trash area, sweeping and mopping all assigned department floors, and appropriately disposing of glass and recyclable materials. Safety and security compliance is critical, with duties to follow company safety policies, report accidents or hazardous conditions to management, and complete all required safety training and certifications. Physical demands include moving, lifting, and positioning items up to 50 pounds, as well as standing, sitting, walking, reaching, bending, twisting, and carrying out other reasonable job tasks assigned by supervisors.
