The Steward role is integral to maintaining the operational backbone of the hospitality experience at Heritage Hotels & Resorts. This position centers on ensuring that all kitchen, dishwashing, and back-of-house areas remain impeccably clean and sanitized, creating a safe and efficient environment for culinary staff to thrive. As a Steward, one directly supports the culinary operations through the diligent operation of dishwashing equipment and proper handling and storage of all kitchenware and utensils. This role demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-concept kitchen environment. The Steward is vital for upholding sanitation standards and compliance with food safety and health regulations, ultimately contributing to the delivery of a refined dining experience for guests. Through duties that include restocking supplies, waste management, and assisting with banquet and event breakdowns, the Steward helps foster a seamless operation that supports both kitchen and service teams. Job Duties

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen, dishwashing, and back-of-house areas
  • operate dishwashing equipment to clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen tools
  • ensure proper handling, storage, and organization of all cleaned items
  • support kitchen operations by restocking supplies and assisting with basic cleaning tasks
  • remove trash, recycling, and compost while maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • clean floors, drains, walls, and equipment according to sanitation standards
  • follow all food safety, sanitation, and health department regulations
  • assist with banquet and event breakdown, including equipment cleaning and storage
  • maintain positive and professional communication with culinary and service teams
  • perform other related duties as assigned
