The Steward role at InterContinental Seattle Bellevue is pivotal in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and organization essential to the operation of the kitchen and food and beverage facilities. Stewards are responsible for cleaning and sanitizing glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, and production areas, ensuring every item is guest-ready and the kitchen environment remains spotless. Working in this role means attention to detail, teamwork, and dedication to hospitality excellence. Stewards will handle various cleaning tasks including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, polishing silverware, and stocking supplies, as well as managing waste disposal. Job Duties

  • cleaning kitchen and heart of house areas including dusting, mopping, scrubbing, washing, buffing
  • maintaining cleanliness of all major kitchen equipment and food and beverage facilities
  • cleaning and sanitizing pots, pans, kitchen utensils
  • keeping chinaware, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment in excellent condition
  • polishing silverware to ensure it is guest-ready
  • stocking kitchen with adequate cleaning supplies, chinaware, cooking equipment, and supplies
  • picking up and disposing of trash, cardboard, compost in all food and beverage areas including employee cafeteria
  • preparing kitchen ensuring adequate chinaware, silverware, kitchen utensils are ready for next shift
