Reporting directly to the Steward Supervisor and Lead Steward, the Steward plays an essential role in supporting kitchen operations by ensuring all china, glassware, silverware, pots, pans, and equipment are thoroughly cleaned and stored correctly. The Steward helps maintain a safe and sanitary work environment by sweeping, mopping floors, and handling transport of food and equipment throughout the venue as needed. This role demands strong attention to detail, reliability, and a commitment to health and safety standards. The Steward must be able to respond effectively to changing demands and work schedule flexibility, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience in a high-volume kitchen setting, demonstrate excellent customer service skills, and possess the ability to work both independently and within a team. Physical requirements include standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and good vision. Working in a generally loud environment, the Steward must prioritize safety and follow all company policies to maintain a clean and secure kitchen environment. Job Duties
- wash all china, glass and silverware
- clean all equipment, pots and pans
- store all equipment in proper locations
- sweep and mop all floors in the kitchen
