The role of Steward / Dishwasher at Renaissance Baton Rouge is a full-time position essential to maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and operational efficiency within the hotel's kitchen and dining areas. The Steward / Dishwasher is primarily responsible for cleaning, sanitizing, and drying all china, glassware, silverware, and other equipment that is returned to the dish hall station either by server assistants or other employees. Beyond handling the dishwashing operations, this role also encompasses ensuring dining tables are clean and well-presented, complete with clean china, glassware, silverware, and linens. This position demands a reliable individual who can operate dishwashing machines efficiently, wash items by hand that are unsuitable for machine cleaning, and manage the organization of items within the dishwashing area. Physical stamina is necessary, as the job may require standing for extended periods and exerting considerable physical effort, including lifting heavy loads.
