The Steward role at Four Seasons Private Residences Los Angeles is an essential position supporting the Food and Beverage team to uphold the brand's award-winning service standards through meticulous attention to detail and the highest levels of cleanliness. This position is part-time and offers an hourly wage of $27.05, reflecting the value the company places on this critical team member’s contribution. The Steward is responsible for setting up work areas, operating dishwashing machinery safely and efficiently, cleaning and maintaining the kitchen and dishwashing stations, and supporting front-line staff by assisting with various tasks such as carrying trays and stocking supplies. The role demands a high level of dedication, teamwork, and adherence to safety procedures in a fast-paced environment. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in steward role preferred
  • Ability to work early mornings, days, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to handle physical tasks including lifting and standing for extended periods
  • Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and chemical handling
  • Ability to follow safety guidelines and emergency procedures
  • Willingness to work in a supportive team environment

Job Duties

  • Follow proper payroll/TRM procedures
  • Set up the work area properly
  • Scrape and stack all dishes properly and rack all glassware
  • Set up, clean and safely properly operate the dish washing machine, including dissembling and assembling for cleaning, loading, and unloading of dishes and flatware and changing the water when/adding chemicals when necessary or when instructed to do so
  • Wipe down, sweep/mop and tidy the back of the house kitchen and dish washing stations
  • Work closely with the staff to assist with carrying trays, hot boxes, pushing of towel carts, carrying of towels, lifting boxes from storeroom and putting items away in the designated areas
  • Separate all flatware
  • Store all plates, glassware, and silver in their designated areas
  • Clean kitchen walls, floors, drains, reach-in coolers, walk-in refrigerators, and other locations designated by the supervisor
  • Handle and use all cleaning materials/chemicals safely
  • Respond properly in any building emergency or safety situation
  • Handle while cleaning sharp objects such as kitchen knives and meat slicer
  • Perform other tasks or projects as assigned by management or staff
