Job Duties

  • operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including dishwashers and trash compactors
  • wash and disinfect kitchen and storage areas including tables, utensils, knives, and equipment
  • receive deliveries and properly store and rotate perishable products
  • ensure clean dishware is stored in appropriate areas
  • use chemical detergents, disinfectants, and rinsing agents in three-compartment sinks
  • inspect, stack, and send dirty articles back for cleaning
  • apply hot water spray to loosen and remove food residue
  • sort, soak, wash, and rewash cutlery
  • empty trash bins and maintain garbage areas
  • clean and mop all assigned departmental areas
  • dispose of glass and recyclable materials properly
  • follow all safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions
  • communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • support team goals and maintain positive working relationships
  • comply with quality and hygiene standards
  • move and lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds as needed
  • stand, sit, or walk for extended periods and perform other reasonable tasks as assigned by supervisors
