Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a fast-paced high-energy service environment
  • Ability to courteously and efficiently interact with guests
  • Cash handling experience preferred
  • Manage time effectively with minimum supervision
  • Obtain all required work cards

Job Duties

  • Greet and seat guests pleasantly, quickly, and efficiently
  • Ensure proper service and smooth operation of the restaurant
  • Communicate guest opportunities or situations to management or relief personnel
  • Answer phones, take and coordinate reservations
  • Maintain knowledge of all service employees' responsibilities including servers, bus persons, and runners
  • Oversee dining room activities including service standards, station assignments, and special functions
  • Run cash register, handle money, and balance all checks at shift end
  • Ensure employee safety and assist in bussing and resetting tables
  • Maintain cleanliness of host stand, floors, menus, signage, and special boards
  • Monitor door for prompt seating of guests
  • Manage register bank, charges, and comps collected during a shift
