The Food Runner role at Scarlet Pearl Casino Resort is a vital position that supports the steakhouse’s service operations by ensuring that food preparation, stocking, and delivery processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role involves preparing and maintaining back food stations, including specialty stations like the baked potato and toast stations, supporting the servers throughout their service, and ensuring timely and accurate delivery of food items and guest requests. The Food Runner is responsible for proper setup before service begins, maintaining cleanliness and order during shifts, and breaking down and sanitizing stations at the end of the service day to uphold the resort’s high standards of quality and food safety.

This position requires an individual who thrives in fast-paced kitchen environments and has a strong attention to detail, allowing them to manage multiple tasks effectively while maintaining the organization of stations and contributing to a seamless dining experience. Job Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced kitchen environment
  • Basic knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • Strong attention to detail and organization
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
  • Effective time management and multitasking skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift and carry trays pans and supplies
  • Comfortable working around hot equipment and food
  • Other physical requirements include but are not necessarily limited to reaching grasping stretching and kneeling

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up and maintain the back food station including the baked potato station prior to service
  • Prepare butter daily and stock stations as needed
  • Assist servers by setting trays and running food items as they are prepared
  • Ensure food items are delivered promptly and accurately
  • Gather and deliver guest requested items as they become available
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations throughout service
  • Set up stations in preparation for the following day
  • Set up and maintain the toast station
  • Assist with butter preparation for the toast station
  • Properly break down and clean the toast station at the end of service
