Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience
- U.S. citizenship or current authorization to work in the U.S.
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting 30lbs, sitting, standing, and bending related to filing
- Ability to work from limited space work station, desk, or office area for extended periods
- Ability to communicate and interact in English
- Ability to use a computer and office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy
- Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per company standards
- Compliance with company attendance standards
- No current or future work authorization sponsorship provided
- Must not have been interviewed for the same position at MDW and not selected within the last 12 months
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2 years of relevant work experience
- Strong written communication ability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel
- Ability to deliver high quality results individually and as a team member under tight constraints
- Self-motivated to complete non-routine tasks independently
- Good judgment with confidential and sensitive information
- Understanding of influencing strategies
- Problem definition and solution proposal skills
- Active listening and note-taking skills to facilitate meetings
- Comfortable delivering formal written and verbal communications
- Ability to condense and articulate complex initiatives and problems
- Organizational skills to manage multiple assignments accurately and timely
- Experience managing small scale projects including cross-departmental participation
- Ability to follow leadership direction effectively
Job Duties
- Provides friendly service to and maintains positive relationships with all internal and external customers
- Serves as a primary reference source to assist leadership and employees in resolving discrepancies or procedural problems utilizing knowledge of specialized function
- Responds to technical administrative questions ensuring necessary follow-up is performed in a timely manner
- Oversees and applies all staffing, salary, attendance, and leave processes executed at the station level, including leave tracking, roster management, bid management, etc., in accordance with applicable state and federal law, company policy, and labor agreements
- Authors and distributes station communication, customer inquiry and complaint responses, leadership meeting minutes, etc.
- Identifies areas to improve operational performance and business processes through an understanding of operational insights, future needs, and root cause
- Maintains and archives historical records by documenting changes and revisions to materials such as memos, project files, presentations, spreadsheets, etc.
- Prepares references for users by writing operating instructions, memos, meeting minutes, etc.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of confidential, proprietary, and sensitive company and personal information
- Meets physical ability requirements
- Performs other job duties as directed by leaders
