30 South Meridian is a bustling Starbucks location situated in the heart of downtown Indianapolis. This establishment operates as part of the globally recognized Starbucks coffeehouse chain, known for providing premium coffee, exceptional customer service, and a welcoming atmosphere for its customers. Job Requirements

  • High school or GED
  • college degree in business or related field may substitute for experience
  • 3-5 years customer service experience preferably in food service or restaurant
  • prior supervisor experience required in food service or restaurant is preferred
  • prior Starbucks experience strongly preferred
  • demonstrated experience reading and interpreting financials
  • demonstrated ability to work with inventory control
  • ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedural manuals
  • ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees or organization

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • college degree in business or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years of customer service experience in food service or restaurant
  • prior supervisory experience in food service or restaurant preferred
  • prior Starbucks experience preferred
  • ability to read and interpret financial reports
  • experience with inventory control
  • ability to interpret safety rules and procedural manuals
  • effective public speaking skills

Job Duties

  • Manage store staff of 12-15
  • set goals for store partners and develop organizational capability
  • demonstrate calm demeanor during high volume periods and unusual events
  • ensure customer service excellence by training and holding partners accountable
  • drive implementation of company programs through action plans
  • manage store operations with integrity and promote company culture
  • plan and delegate responsibilities for smooth operations
  • provide coaching and direction to achieve operational goals
  • monitor and manage staffing levels to meet operational needs
  • communicate clearly and effectively with store team
  • ensure adherence to wage and hour laws
  • solicit customer feedback and research local markets
  • use operational tools for staffing, training, inventory, cash handling, cleanliness, and business analysis
  • access retail support partners to execute initiatives
  • analyze financial reports to address store performance trends
  • conduct regular performance assessments and provide feedback
  • inspire partners to achieve business results
  • foster an inclusive culture and maintain positive partner relationships
  • ensure legal and operational compliance among partners
  • recognize and reinforce team accomplishments
  • demonstrate effective leadership to create a successful store team
