Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in food service or retail a plus
- Ability to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
- Physical capability to lift or move product up to 44 pounds sometimes without assistance
- Comfortable working in refrigeration and freezer temperatures
- Ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of scheduled shifts
- Access to all store areas to respond to guest or team member issues
- Ability to interpret instructions, reports and information
- Accurate cash register handling skills when required
- Must comply with all safety policies, best practices, and training guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate effectively using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Capability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving skills to resolve guest questions promptly
- Attention to detail and ability to follow multi-step processes
- Ability to remain focused and composed in a fast-paced environment while multitasking
Job Duties
- Create an easy, inspiring and friendly guest experience by delivering on commitments
- Greet guests warmly from a distance and up close
- Help guests find what they need and resolve issues smoothly
- Maintain food and beverage standards including food safety and cleanliness
- Execute food delivery, replenishment, rotation, cleaning, signing and storage processes
- Stay aware of current Starbucks promotions and follow all routines for consistent guest experience
- Support Drive Up process for digital order fulfillment and maintain inviting dining area
- Engage with guests to meet and exceed Starbucks standards
- Produce handcrafted beverages and food product to recipe specifications
- Monitor and record temperature sensitive items following food safety best practices
- Complete all cleaning tasks and identify expired or damaged items for processing
- Maintain accurate inventory through store-initiated orders and proper perishable procedures
- Execute sampling best practices and complete required training and certifications
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety compliance and report hazards
- Support guest services such as back-up cashier, order pick up and comply with beverage laws
- Perform other duties as business needs require
