The Food & Beverage team at Target plays a crucial role in maintaining a fresh, fully stocked, and food-safe shopping environment. This team ensures operational excellence, efficiency, and consistency across all Food and Beverage areas of the store, managing replenishment, inventory accuracy, food safety, presentation, pricing, and promotional signage. This role is pivotal in delivering an exceptional guest experience by ensuring quality and freshness in every item available on the sales floor.
We are currently seeking a Starbucks Barista to join our Food & Beverage team. This role offers a dynamic and engaging environment where no two days are alike. As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you will be responsible for delivering a consistent Starbucks experience by crafting high-quality, handcrafted beverages and food items. This position provides valuable skills and knowledge in guest service, food quality management, food safety compliance, and adherence to both Starbucks and Target standards.
Key responsibilities will include delivering outstanding guest interactions, executing food and beverage processes including inventory management and food rotation, and upholding food safety and sanitation standards. You will also support Target's Starbucks Drive Up service to fulfill digital guest orders accurately and efficiently while maintaining a welcoming dining area. Additionally, this role requires maintaining compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations related to food safety and adult beverage laws.
Ideal candidates will thrive in a fast-paced, energetic team environment and have a passion for providing service that delights guests. While previous Starbucks or food service experience is preferred, it is not required. Training will be provided to enhance your ability to deliver superior quality and service. Compensation for this role starts at $16.50 USD per hour, with a flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays. The ability to stand and remain mobile for the duration of your shift, safely handle merchandise, and work comfortably in varying temperature conditions is essential. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to stand and remain mobile throughout scheduled shifts
- Ability to safely lift or move merchandise up to 44 pounds
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Reliable and punctual attendance
- Ability to work in various temperature conditions ranging from 34°F to -10°F
- Ability to work in environments where common allergens may be present
- Capability to follow multi-step processes and maintain focus under pressure
- Ability to handle cash register operations accurately as needed
- Compliance with safety policies and regulations including OSHA guidelines
Job Qualifications
- Previous Starbucks or food service experience preferred but not required
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and team members
- Ability to communicate using multiple frequency devices and operate handheld scanners
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
- Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail
- Capable of remaining composed in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance
- Completion of Starbucks quality control trainings
Job Duties
- Deliver an exceptional guest experience by crafting high-quality Starbucks beverages and food items
- Uphold and maintain Starbucks and Target food and beverage standards and food safety protocols
- Execute food and beverage processes including deliveries, stocking, zoning, inventory accuracy, culling, rotation, and signage
- Support Starbucks Drive Up operations to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean and inviting dining area for guests consistently
- Engage with guests warmly to meet and exceed their expectations
- Complete all food safety and cleaning tasks following best practices
