Within Target, the Food & Beverage team plays a crucial role in ensuring a consistent and enjoyable shopping experience for guests by maintaining product freshness, inventory accuracy, and safety standards across all Food and Beverage departments. The Starbucks Barista position within Target's Food & Beverage team is an exciting opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and delivering excellent customer service. The role focuses on curating a consistent Starbucks experience in-store by preparing handcrafted beverages and food items to specifications, maintaining food safety practices, managing inventory, and engaging with guests to exceed their expectations.

As a Starbucks Barista at Target, you will participate in activities such as food replenishment, inventory accuracy, product rotation, cleaning, signing, and organizing the reserve products. This role demands adherence to state and federal food safety standards as well as OSHA guidelines to ensure a safe and compliant environment. You will be responsible for supporting the Starbucks Drive Up process, helping digital orders be fulfilled accurately and promptly, and creating an inviting dining space for guests throughout your shift.

This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and the ability to handle multiple tasks with attention to detail in a highly active and physically demanding role. You will work both independently and with your team to provide friendly, efficient service while complying with all Target and Starbucks procedures and safety policies. The Barista role also includes responsibilities such as assisting with back-up cashier duties, order pickups, and maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local adult beverage laws.

Target offers robust training programs to equip new Starbucks Baristas with the necessary skills to excel in their roles. Although previous Starbucks or food service experience is preferred, it is not required. The company values a positive and welcoming attitude, communication skills, and the ability to remain composed in a fast-paced environment. Physical requirements include the ability to lift merchandise up to 44 pounds, use ladders, and work in varying temperature conditions. The starting hourly rate for this position is $15.00 USD per hour.
