Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform work involving multiple sequential steps
  • Experience in food service or customer service preferred
  • Physical ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds independently and heavier loads with assistance
  • Commitment to maintain safety and sanitation standards
  • Willingness to complete prescribed training
  • Ability to operate cash registers
  • Flexibility to work in warm, noisy environments
  • Compliance with federal employment background checks

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Set up food service counters and side stands with hot and cold food and beverages, including desserts and condiments
  • Assist customers in selecting and purchasing specialty coffee beverages and whole bean sales
  • Prepare quality beverages such as espresso drinks and Coffee of the Week consistent with recipe and presentation standards
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to promote associated products
  • Serve food and beverages in standard portions uniformly
  • Operate cash register and manage change fund
  • Clean and maintain dishwashers, appliances, customer service areas, and equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to schedules
  • Follow store policies and operational procedures
  • Provide world class customer service with emphasis on courtesy and positive communication
  • Adhere to safety regulations and sanitation guidelines
  • Report workplace hazards, injuries, and accidents promptly
  • Support principles of equal employment opportunity and prevention of sexual harassment
  • Perform other related duties as required
