Job Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
- One to three months related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous customer service and cash handling experience required
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to follow instructions and corporate policies
- Must be able to meet physical demands including lifting up to 50 pounds and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to work the specified schedule including weekends and holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree
- Must have previous customer service and cash handling experience
- Knowledge of core products and processes in a coffee shop
- Ability to read and write standard English
- Ability to comprehend simple instructions, correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to perform basic math operations including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- Ability to understand 24-hour and military time systems
- Ability to plan, set priorities, and manage multiple projects under pressure
- Ability to understand policies, procedures, equipment manuals, training materials, and corporate communications
Job Duties
- Diagnose customer needs and recommend appropriate products
- Greet customers with a friendly smile and communicate positively and professionally
- Build effective working relationships with peers, team, and managers
- Make timely and effective decisions using a combination of intuition, analysis, and experience
- Prioritize learning and personal development
- Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages such as coffee, espresso drinks, blended coffees, or teas
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of work areas, utensils, and equipment
- Operate cash register
- Restock supplies and notify management of low inventory
