Job Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Ability to physically perform medium work including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally
Ability to see clearly at distances of more than 20 inches and less than 20 feet with or without correction
Ability to perceive color, depth and field of vision
Ability to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and repetitive motions
Must successfully complete pre-employment drug screen
Must adhere to company personal hygiene and dress standards
Must comply with company policies and store guidelines
Must report to work on time and as scheduled

Job Qualifications

Less than high school education or equivalent experience
Six months or less of similar or related work experience
Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
Ability to perform simple math operations such as addition and subtraction
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
Ability to write identifying information and request supplies orally or in writing
Strong customer service skills
Teamwork and collaboration skills
Basic knowledge of food handling and safety practices
Good communication skills
Physical ability to perform medium work

Job Duties

Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions
Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner
Make an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name whenever possible
Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading or unloading heavy products, passing along customer suggestions, and enhancing the shopping experience
Answer telephone promptly and provide friendly, helpful service including taking customer orders
Take customer orders at the counter
Work with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and pleasant work environment
Handle food safely and keep work area clean and neat
Review food status and appearance for freshness
Ensure adequate food supply is ready and develop or follow production list
Anticipate product needs daily
Prepare and replenish products
Check in products and put them away, possibly review invoices
Run department registers and handle payments, make change
Remove trash in a timely manner
Maintain strict adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
Report to work as scheduled and on time
Wash dishes as necessary
Order product and supplies as needed
Price products
Assist in other store areas as required
Perform other related duties and special projects as required
