Job Requirements

No prior experience required
Prior Barista experience preferred
Basic mathematical skills to operate cash register and make change
Prior hospitality and cashiering experience preferred
Ability to learn up-selling techniques
Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
Ability to maintain standards for service and departmental guidelines
Ability to recite and promote menu items
Dependable to work varied schedules including days, evenings, weekends, holidays
Attention to detail
Ability to handle guest and employee concerns positively
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs
Able to stand for long periods
Ability to operate keyboard and learn POS procedures
Self-motivated during slow periods
Ability to inform and direct guests
Ability to obtain and maintain active food handler certification
Hearing and visual capability to detect emergency signs
Professional and courteous appearance

Job Qualifications

No prior experience required, prior Barista experience preferred
Basic mathematical skills necessary to operate a cash register, make change, count total bank, prepare cash drops, and total other charges
Prior hospitality and cashiering experience preferred
Ability to learn up-selling techniques
Ability to handle multiple tasks quickly and efficiently
Ability to maintain standards for service, steps of service and all departmental standards
Ability to recite and promote a variety of menu items
Dependable and reliable to meet demands of a 24-hour operation
Attention to detail
Ability to effectively deal with guest and employee concerns in a friendly and positive manner
Excellent interpersonal, listening and communication skills including ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 30 lbs
Ability to stand for long periods
Ability to operate a keyboard and learn Point of Sale procedures
Ability to self-motivate during slow periods
Ability to inform and direct guests to events throughout the hotel
Ability to obtain and maintain active Lancaster County Food Handler permit and any additional certifications required
Hearing and visual ability to observe signs of emergency situations
Must represent company in a professional, well-groomed and courteous manner

Job Duties

Provide quality beverages consistently for all customers, preparing Starbucks beverages to standard
Maintain condition and cleanliness of work area
Ensure good speaking skills, maintaining composure and practicing good etiquette
Follow standards for merchandising, stocking, rotating, and storing all products
Ascertain guest satisfaction
in the event of dissatisfaction, tactfully negotiate an accommodation
Comply with accounting guidelines regarding receipt of payments, cash drawer and house bank management
Perform all assigned side work, including replenishing condiments and restocking service areas
