Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous secretarial experience required
  • Word processing experience required
  • Ability to work independently and organize workload
  • Good judgment skills
  • General office skills including telephone and office machine proficiency
  • Ability to manage stress in a high-demand environment
  • Able to work 10-hour shifts with occasional weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Previous secretarial experience
  • Previous hospital staffing experience preferred
  • Word processing experience
  • Excel, Access, or other database experience preferred
  • Excellent organization and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently, organize workload, prioritize and use good judgement
  • General office skills including handling heavy telephone traffic and working with frequent interruptions
  • Proficient in using copiers, fax machines, and other general office machines
  • Ability to manage stress well in a high-demand position

Job Duties

  • Perform daily staffing functions for all assigned units in collaboration with unit Clinical Manager, Clinical Nurse Supervisor or designees
  • Be charged with the master scheduling process for all assigned units
  • Be accountable for the maintenance of the registry / traveler credentialing process
  • Be responsible for unit placement of registry staff
  • Assist with secretarial, clerical and receptionist support for the Clinical Support Services Department
  • Maintain lines of communication while maintaining confidentiality of patient and employee information
  • Work under direct supervision of Staffing Supervisor
  • Demonstrate and role model the NorthBay Way principles of Caring, Communication, Collaboration, and Competence
