Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Admission in good standing to Illinois state and federal practice or eligibility within one year
- Good standing with the State Bar
- Ability to analyze and interpret legal materials and write professionally
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented with flexible work attitude
- Commitment to confidentiality and cultural sensitivity
- Interest in teaching and public service
- Fluency in Spanish preferred
- Adept user of internet, case management systems including LegalServer and Clio
- Supervisory experience
Job Qualifications

- Ability to analyze and interpret legal sources and write reports, correspondence, and manuals

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Detail oriented
- Flexible work attitude
- Commitment to client-centered lawyering
- Excellent judgment and cultural sensitivity
- Interest in teaching and public service
- Fluency in written and spoken Spanish preferred
Job Duties
- Engage in direct legal representation, research, and policy work to address immigration and human rights issues
- Assist clinic director with strategic planning, management, and administration of the clinic
- Supervise students, volunteers, and staff by overseeing intake, supporting case advocacy, reviewing documents, and attending hearings and meetings
- Train students, staff, and organizational partners on immigration and human rights matters
- Communicate legal and social resource information to partners, colleagues, students, and volunteers
- Maintain professional communication with all collaborating entities within the Holistic Immigration Hub
- Support faculty research, publication development, and event planning
- Perform other clinic and curricular duties as assigned
