Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • minimum of 1 year cooking experience in a professional kitchen
  • knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
  • physical ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks
  • flexibility to work various shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • ability to understand and follow directions
  • strong work ethic and reliability

Job Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a cook in a similar culinary environment
  • knowledge of coastal European cuisine, particularly Italian, Spanish, and French
  • ability to follow detailed recipes and culinary instructions
  • strong knife skills
  • effective communication and teamwork skills
  • ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks
  • passion for food quality and presentation

Job Duties

  • Prepare hot and cold food items according to recipes and standards
  • perform all standardized knife cuts accurately
  • manage assigned kitchen station efficiently
  • multi-task and stay calm under pressure
  • communicate effectively with team members to ensure timely dish production
  • exercise quick problem-solving skills to resolve kitchen issues
  • maintain cleanliness and organization of work area
