Known for its commitment to operational excellence and compliance with rigorous regulatory standards, Cardinal Health fosters a workplace environment that values innovation, integrity, and inclusiveness.

Your responsibilities include serving as a pivotal contact for radiation safety activities and providing expert oversight in radiation hazard assessment, safety procedure development, and training. You will conduct impact assessments for new and modified processes and equipment, ensuring all activities comply with health physics guidelines and safety regulations. In addition to health physics responsibilities, you will support broader Environmental Health & Safety programs by leading hazard assessments, risk mitigation planning, workplace safety evaluations, and coordination of contractor safety management. You also will take charge of waste characterization, segregation, storage, documentation, and coordination with approved vendors, fostering compliance with hazardous and radioactive waste regulations.

This role demands a proactive approach to training and competency development, where you will design, deliver, and maintain training programs tailored to radiation safety and EHS operational requirements. As the Senior Specialist, you will contribute to procedural documentation and continuous improvement initiatives that align with both operational objectives and regulatory mandates. Your work environment will include office, laboratory, production, and manufacturing settings, all regulated under state and federal guidelines.

Cardinal Health values diversity and inclusion, encouraging candidates of varied backgrounds to apply, including Veterans and those returning to the workforce. The anticipated salary range for this position is $63,800 to $82,260, with the role being non-bonus eligible.
