Job Requirements
- A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate
- Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience preferred
- Experience with high volume foodservice operations
- Knowledge of food production, sanitation, and cost control
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Commitment to patient satisfaction initiatives
- Ability to supervise and lead culinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Flexibility to adapt to changing culinary trends and menus
Job Qualifications
- A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate with required experience
- Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
- Catering experience a plus
- Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
- Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
- Familiarity with food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
- Proficient in computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
- ServSafe certified highly desirable
- Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs
Job Duties
- Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
- Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
- Produce and execute catering events
- Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
- Supervise hourly associates and ensure quality food preparation
- Participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
- Support the culinary team in daily kitchen operations
