Job Requirements

  • A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience with high volume foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of food production, sanitation, and cost control
  • Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and internet
  • ServSafe certification preferred
  • Commitment to patient satisfaction initiatives
  • Ability to supervise and lead culinary teams
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced environments
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing culinary trends and menus

Job Qualifications

  • A.O.S. degree in culinary arts or culinary certificate with required experience
  • Some progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience a plus
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Knowledge of institutional and batch cooking
  • Familiarity with food and catering trends focusing on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation
  • Proficient in computers including Microsoft Office, Outlook, email, and internet
  • ServSafe certified highly desirable
  • Willingness to participate in patient satisfaction programs

Job Duties

  • Assist the Executive Chef with managing cost controls and controlling expenditures for the account
  • Assist the Executive Chef with planning and creating menus
  • Produce and execute catering events
  • Roll out new culinary programs in conjunction with company marketing and culinary team
  • Supervise hourly associates and ensure quality food preparation
  • Participate in patient satisfaction programs and activities
  • Support the culinary team in daily kitchen operations
