Job Description
Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT) is a leading global research and advisory firm that partners with business leaders to deliver vital insights, advice, and tools necessary for enterprise success. Founded in 1979, Gartner supports approximately 14,000 client enterprises across around 90 countries and territories worldwide. With a workforce of over 21,000 associates globally, Gartner is committed to enabling companies to make informed decisions and thrive in their respective industries by offering expert analysis and bold ideas. As a company, Gartner prides itself on intellectual curiosity, energy, and a strong drive among its associates, fostering an environment where creative and motivated individuals can have impactful careers.
The Senior Planner role at Gartner is a dynamic and integral position within the Corporate Events and Incentive program. As a Sr. Planner, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive logistical support to ensure the success of both in-person and virtual corporate events. This role demands a sharp focus on project management, effective collaboration with multiple Gartner Business Units, and an ability to manage every aspect of the event planning process. Your expertise will be pivotal in researching, proposing, and executing event components that align with business objectives and enhance the overall experience for event attendees.
Key responsibilities will include coordinating with vendors, such as the Global Registration team, to manage event registrations and reporting, and collaborating closely with the IT team to support virtual event execution, including onsite management of Teams channels and addressing technical escalation points. You will also oversee production aspects like hotel arrangements, menu planning, audiovisual requirements, travel logistics, and the creation of branding elements in partnership with creative teams. Your role will often place you as the primary point of contact for internal and external clients, requiring exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage expectations professionally.
Beyond logistics, continuity, and coordination, the Senior Planner at Gartner focuses on continuously improving event experiences by evaluating attendee feedback, event results, and incorporating data-driven improvements. This role offers the opportunity to manage special events and offsite functions, adding versatility and depth to your event management portfolio. With the chance to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-30%, this position offers engaging challenges and exposure across multiple markets and teams.
Gartner is proud to offer a hybrid work environment that balances the flexibility of remote work with the collaborative benefits of an engaging office community. The company provides competitive compensation with a makeshift salary range between $55,000 and $83,000 USD, supplemented with performance-based bonuses or incentive plans. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits, including generous paid time off, 401(k) matching programs, discounted company stock purchases, and much more.
As an equal opportunity employer, Gartner embraces diversity and inclusion across all facets of employment, welcoming applicants from all backgrounds and ensuring accommodations are accessible for individuals with disabilities. If you are a results-oriented planner with strong communication skills, project management expertise, and a passion for delivering outstanding event experiences, Gartner offers an exceptional platform to advance your career in a globally respected organization that values innovation, excellence, and professional growth.
