Rooted deeply in the spirit of Los Angeles and the United States, LA28 aims to create an unparalleled Olympic and Paralympic experience that highlights the city's unique heritage and the broader American ethos. The 2028 Games are set to mark the return of the Summer Olympics to the U.S. after a span of 32 years, marking Los Angeles’s third time hosting the Olympics and its debut as the venue for the Paralympic Games. This historic event presents a rare opportunity to celebrate past legacies while pushing the boundaries of what the Games can represent for future generations. The committee embodies core values of optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation, and boldness, ensuring that every step of the planning and execution process reflects these guiding principles.
The Sr. Manager, Language Services Venue Operations is a critical leadership role within LA28, responsible for the operational planning, coordination, and delivery of language services across the Games’ competition and non-competition venues. The Sr. Manager provides strategic direction and operational leadership by managing complex project plans, guiding a team of staff and volunteers, and integrating language services into the broader operations infrastructure of the Games. This position demands exceptional operational skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to navigate fast-paced, dynamic environments. The Sr. Manager collaborates closely with various departments including venue management, sport operations, press, broadcast, and workforce to guarantee that all language service needs are accounted for and executed without disruption. This role offers an exciting chance to contribute to one of the world’s most prestigious sporting events, ensuring that communication across languages enhances the overall Games experience for every participant and stakeholder. The annual base salary for this role ranges from $105,000 to $140,000. This compensation reflects LA28’s commitment to attracting top-tier talent to fulfill this significant role. It is important to note that LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for this position. The work environment is based primarily in Los Angeles, CA, with most tasks conducted in an office setting that features an open floor plan.
