Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in scientific field required
- Minimum of ten years related experience or equivalent education and experience required
- Minimum of eight years industry experience including Medical Devices, OTC, and Rx Pharmaceuticals required
- Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations required
- Strong managerial and leadership abilities required

Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in a scientific area of specialty
- Master's degree in occupational and health sciences preferred
- Minimum of ten years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Minimum of eight years of related industry experience including Medical Devices, OTC, and Rx Pharmaceuticals
- Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills including compliance management
- Thorough knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and TCEQ regulations
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to develop and implement EHS programs and training
- Experience managing regulatory submissions and audits
- Proficiency in budget development and management
- Capacity to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Commitment to continuous improvement and organizational compliance
Job Duties
- Ensure site compliance with applicable OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations including state and local requirements
- Maintain expertise in OSHA regulatory areas including industrial hygiene, hazard communication, chemical hygiene, respiratory protection, general safety, confined spaces, lockout tag out, ergonomics, forklift safety, hazardous chemical handling, behavioral-based safety, recordkeeping, workers compensation, and process safety management
- Manage compliance activities for federal, state, and local regulations such as RCRA, CERCLA, SARA, CAA TITLE V, SWDA, CWA, TSCA, DOT, and RMP
- Develop and update programs and plans including Hazardous Waste Contingency, Emergency Response, Spill Prevention, Stormwater Pollution Prevention, Waste Minimization, Pollution Prevention Assessments, Hazardous Waste Management, Slug Control, and Risk Management
- Ensure accurate regulatory submissions and fees including Tier Two, Hazardous Waste Generation Fee, Annual Waste Summary, Bi-annual Hazardous Waste Reports, Medical Waste Reports, Air Permits, Hazardous Materials Permit, Industrial Wastewater Permit, Stormwater Permit
- Assure SOPs, manufacturing batch, and training records comply with federal, state, and local programs
- Manage OSHA, EPA, FM Global, and customer audits including responses and CAPA tracking for all San Antonio sites
- Develop and maintain budgets for the Regulatory and Compliance team supporting business initiatives
- Build and maintain customer relationships for current and future products
- Conduct internal EHS audits and GAP analyses to enhance compliance and performance
- Support cross-site and vendor audits alongside purchasing and leadership
- Participate actively in cross-functional teams managing waste rejection, movement, and disposition from R&D, QC, and operations
- Comply with all safety, environmental, and quality practices and procedures as outlined by company and regulations
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
