Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in mainframe development
  • Expert knowledge of COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and other mainframe technologies
  • Proficiency with DB2 Utilities (QMF and SPUFI)
  • Strong knowledge of IBM Utilities such as IEBGENER, IDCAMS, ICETOOL, DEBUGGER (CICS and Batch), FILE MANAGER, SORT, Fault Analyzer
  • Experience in software delivery components including requirements, design, development, and testing
  • Experience with CHANGEMAN and CONTROL-M Scheduling
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Familiarity with mainframe software development tools and platforms (z/OS)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be a team player

Job Duties

  • Design, develop, and maintain Mainframe applications
  • Interface with business and IT teams to understand and translate business requirements into technical requirements and application code
  • Collaborate with IT support teams to ensure successful development and implementation of support and project requirements
  • Develop and execute unit and integration test plans/scripts to ensure application changes meet technical specifications
  • Work with the business team for acceptance testing and participate in integration testing
  • Manage the full System Development Life Cycle
  • Provide on-call production support as needed
