Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or graduate of culinary school
- At least 12 months of restaurant or customer service experience
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License
- Hepatitis A vaccine or annual testing as required
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and during campus closures
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and transporting food and equipment
- Compliance with university employment background checks and post offer employment testing
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or graduate of culinary school
- 12 months of restaurant or customer service experience
- Ability to obtain a Food Handlers License
- ServSafe Certification preferred
- Previous catering experience preferred
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and sanitation standards
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team and lead when required
Job Duties
- Support the preparation, production, and service of food for university and campus-based catering operations
- Prepare food according to established recipes and portion control standards
- Operate kitchen utensils, appliances, and industrial equipment safely and effectively
- Serve food courteously and professionally with appropriate portioning and menu knowledge
- Load, carry, and transport hot or cold food items and catering equipment to various locations
- Set up and break down catering spaces including serving lines and equipment
- Clean, wash, sanitize, and properly store kitchenware, equipment, and dining areas according to sanitation standards
