The role of Senior Executive Chef at Morrison Healthcare, based in Gainesville, FL, represents a leadership opportunity to oversee and elevate culinary operations within a major healthcare facility. This position reports to Senior Directors and offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $125,000, along with relocation assistance, emphasizing Morrison’s commitment to attracting top culinary talent. The position operates on a 5-day workweek with alternating weekends, providing a balanced schedule conducive to work-life harmony.

As a Senior Executive Chef, the individual will hold overarching responsibility for all culinary facets, including patient dining, retail food services, and catering operations. Key responsibilities include leading menu development, maintaining exemplary food quality and safety, managing purchasing and food cost controls, and enforcing compliance with ServSafe® sanitation protocols. The role also involves mentoring and developing a high-performing culinary team while spearheading wellness-focused and innovative culinary programs aligned with the hospital’s mission. Integral to the position is the collaboration with hospital leadership to meet operational and financial targets, ensuring the culinary department supports the broader healthcare objectives. This senior chef role is ideal for someone with a culinary degree or a bachelor’s in food service management or hospitality, coupled with 3 to 5 years of progressive culinary leadership experience, preferably in healthcare or high-volume dining environments. The successful candidate will bring strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills, complemented by knowledge of food trends, cost controls, and proficiency in kitchen management software. ServSafe® certification is a mandatory qualification, underscoring the commitment to high safety and sanitation standards.
