Job Description
Workday is a Fortune 500 company and a leading AI platform dedicated to managing people, money, and agents. The company is renowned for its innovative solutions that transform the future of work, enabling teams to reach their full potential while focusing on what matters most. Workday’s culture is deeply rooted in integrity, empathy, and shared enthusiasm, fostering a collaborative environment where bold ideas and genuine care are at the forefront. Employees at Workday benefit from a supportive atmosphere that encourages risk-taking, personal growth, and long-term investment in their careers. The company strives to create meaningful work experiences alongside colleagues who are deeply committed to one another’s success.
Adaptive Planning is a vital and rapidly growing business unit within Workday, focused on helping organizations worldwide enhance their planning, modeling, and decision-making capabilities. Within Adaptive Planning, the marketing team operates with a builder mindset—combining the scale and reach of a large enterprise with the agility of a focused, standalone business unit. Events play a pivotal role in this strategy, acting as key drivers of pipeline growth, deal acceleration, customer relationship strengthening, and the cultivation of a global community of finance and business leaders.
As the Senior Event Marketing Manager for Adaptive Planning, you will be responsible for the strategic planning and flawless execution of high-impact events targeting executives across North America. These events include intimate C-suite dinners, hospitality programs, flagship trade shows, and major Workday-led conferences. The position sits at the intersection of brand, pipeline, and executive engagement, playing a critical role in how Workday presents itself to senior finance and business leaders. You will design events that are premium, thoughtfully crafted, and commercially effective—events that senior executives genuinely want to attend and that sales and product leaders regard as essential for revenue growth.
This role requires close partnership with regional sales leadership, product marketing, corporate events teams, and other key stakeholders. You will navigate the complexity of maintaining a global brand presence while adapting to local market nuances. The position requires a hands-on approach paired with strong strategic instincts, commercial savvy, and the ability to offer calm, authoritative leadership under pressure. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from end-to-end event strategy and budget management to on-site execution and post-event analysis. This is a highly visible role that demands impeccable attention to detail and the ability to provide executive-level event experiences that truly resonate.
