Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Seven years of related international freight experience
- U.S. Customs Brokerage License required
- Expert-level knowledge of laws and regulations related to U.S. Customs Service and other federal agencies
- Ability to interpret harmonized tariff schedules and Title 19 Code of Federal Regulations
- Strong diplomatic skills to negotiate regulatory and operational matters
- Effective communication and coordination among various departments and external stakeholders
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Seven years of related international freight experience
- U.S. Customs Brokerage License
- Expert knowledge of U.S. Customs Service laws and regulations
- Proficiency in interpreting harmonized tariff schedules and Title 19 Code of Federal Regulations
- Strong skills in diplomacy and regulatory compliance
- Experience with federal agencies like FCC, EPA, USDA, FDA, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service
Job Duties
- Analyze, plan, develop, implement and coordinate policies and procedures for international import and export operations
- Assure coordination of various departments to efficiently achieve corporate goals related to international freight service
- Interpret laws and regulations of U.S. Customs Service and other federal agencies
- Exercise diplomacy in handling complex regulatory and operational matters
- Collaborate with customers, federal agencies and contracted customs brokers to resolve issues
- Monitor compliance risks and work to minimize penalties
- Provide expert guidance on harmonized tariff schedules and customs enforcement techniques
