Job Description

The Senior Coordinator, Events Management at Focus on the Family is an integral role responsible for providing comprehensive oversight and management of all event program initiatives. This full-time position, which offers a competitive salary range of $24.00 to $27.50 per hour, works closely alongside the Senior Events Manager to generate ideas, strategize, coordinate, and successfully deliver a variety of event programs. These programs specifically target marriage and parenting audiences, involving small to large-scale events that reflect the organization’s values and goals.
In this capacity, the Senior Coordinator leads the logistical management, communication, and production aspects of events, ensuring seamless execution from inquiry through event completion and debriefing. Responsibilities extend to managing contracted speakers, coordinating cross-departmental collaboration, and developing creative brand content in partnership with marketing and creative teams. The role demands exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to nurture strong professional relationships with churches, pastors, lay leaders, and various partners. The Senior Coordinator also acts as a subject matter expert on the event management system, handling complex registration sites and training new users.
Additionally, this role requires involvement in data analysis of event trends to enhance event promotion, content, and audience engagement post-event. It also offers opportunities to support large event logistics, production display, and stage management, emphasizing flexibility and readiness for domestic travel, including nights and weekends as needed. Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, business, or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of related experience
- Experience with strategic and tactical planning
- Working knowledge of FOF mission, philosophy, values, and objectives, as well as budget guidelines
- Task-oriented and able to follow directions to a desired outcome
- Understands the use of post-event communication channels to engage a variety of event audiences
- Demonstrated proficiency in both oral and written communication of information
- Ability to communicate and interact effectively at all levels
- Proficient in the use of computer hardware and software including MS Office, MS Word, MS Excel, and Aprimo
- Ability to use judgment to solve moderately complex problems within the limits of standard policy and practice
- Strong organizational and administrative skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Ability to manage the stress and pressure of multiple projects under strict deadlines
- Good listening skills, with maturity and discretion in the handling of confidential and sensitive information
- Strong attention to detail

Job Duties
- Works with the Sr. Event Manager to develop strategic event plans and customer journeys that support goals and objectives for event programs
- Manages execution, communication, documentation, and logistics of event programs
- Oversees marriage and parenting small event programs, administration, and support from inquiry to event conclusion and debrief
- Leads in logistical management, support, training, procedures, and care for contracted event speakers in the small event program
- Leads creative/brand content, in collaboration with the marketing and creative services teams, for event programs, including the creation of presentations, conference participant guides, website copy, and landing page layout
- Works effectively with various departments to ensure successful event programs, providing prompt follow-through on assigned tasks and responding quickly to requests for information
- Develops, nurtures, and maintains strong professional relationships with churches, pastors, lay leaders, contracted speakers, and partners on behalf of Focus event programs
