This full-time Staff position is based at the UHealth Tower and operates on variable shifts between 3:00 AM and 8:00 PM, including weekends. The role primarily involves food preparation duties essential to maintaining the high standards of meal quality and customer satisfaction within the healthcare environment. Employees in this role will be responsible for washing, chopping, storing, and handling various food ingredients. They will also measure, mix, and season menu items carefully according to the facility's strict standards and operate various cooking equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves, and fryers safely and efficiently. The role requires testing cooked foods to ensure they meet the required safety and quality benchmarks and serving food in proper portions onto appropriate receptacles, all while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards in cooking areas and kitchen equipment.

Other key responsibilities include washing and sorting flatware, serving dishes, china, and glasses, checking and regulating temperatures of appliances, and strictly adhering to university and departmental policies to safeguard the assets of the University. This role is ideal for individuals with a minimum of one year of relevant experience and at least a high school diploma or equivalent. Given the importance of hygiene and safety in a medical environment, employees must consistently comply with food safety regulations and operational standards.
