Job Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • two years cashiering experience in a high-volume retail or hospitality business
  • must obtain Texas Food Handlers Certification within 30 days of hire
  • availability to work 9am-5:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays
  • ability to work varied shifts and venues as needed
  • strong cash handling and customer service skills
  • ability to operate POS systems
  • compliance with safety and sanitation protocols
  • ability to interact effectively with diverse populations

Job Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • two years cashiering experience in high-volume retail or hospitality business
  • strong cash handling skills
  • excellent customer service skills
  • ability to operate Micros 3700 PC and POS systems
  • knowledge of inventory management practices
  • effective communication and supervisory skills
  • ability to maintain sanitation and safety standards
  • Texas Food Handlers Certification required within 30 days

Job Duties

  • Verify assigned bank and set up register
  • perform cash handling transactions following guidelines
  • check employee IDs and examine items to properly charge customers
  • provide accurate register tally, receipts, and correct change
  • prepare and verify daily sales totals and deposits
  • offer excellent guest relations and customer service
  • prepare and serve beverages and food items
  • train new employees
  • update and maintain POS systems and paper menus
  • monitor cashier breaks and workstations
  • replenish inventory and maintain sanitation
  • place daily unit orders
  • ensure safe and sanitary work areas
